Fellow owners, you are aware that the Bimba valve will not engage if the system is not under load and running at 70% or more?

In other words let it RIP when you're prespraying oif you want mega heat for the first room...

If not a smaller 370 may never catch up if you're heavy on the trigger from the get go..

Well, the air-cooled ones should be running at nearly full throttle anyways for optimum cooling of the engine.

I put my chems in my HF, get set up, and plug my vac hose, put the HF wand into the jug, and fill it up. By the time it’s full, my water is HOT.... I unplug the vac hose, and start to prespray. I’m at operating temp before I even start the first room.... LOVE the Cleanco....

cough...Butler...cough

Pull up to a job, it's hot, mix up pre-spray, it's hot, apply pre-spray, it's hot...work a while, you guessed it, it's (too) hot.

I understand Direct Drives aren't for everybody, though.

I start the machine when I arrive at the first job, turn on the pump, turn up the rpm's, cap off the vac port to open the diverter and then set up for job so its relatively hot when I start cleaning.

Mike,
Is that generally how long from pull up til pre spraying for you?

As someone(me) not carrying water - with the gift of gab, similar setups, no helper and cautious, wondering how long....

Ohhh, and yea. Lube the bimba...

You can also get cracks in the plastic tubes going to the bimba and blower(i believe) that can cause it not to get the 7hg it needs. That was a tuff and very frustrating one to figure out...:(

Screw driver as last resort...

My first job today took me 5 hours. It was a nightmare MacMansion. 40 year old carpet that hadn't been cleaned in over 10 years. The lady got mad at me when I refused to move her Piano and washer/dryer. It would have required me to unhook all the water lines, gas lines, and dryer vent lines. Screw that!!!!!! She ended up calling a friend to move the washer/dryer. The piano stayed in place. I think they both found out what a pain it was and in the process they scratched up the linoleum. I'm so glad I planted my feet and stood my ground. I usually fold.

1. Rotovac will never get a dollar out of me.
2. No need, Code Red and dev wand made mince meat out of it.
3. I have a Mytee Trex brush head if i really wanted to roto it.
4. Have an awesome day. :)
