Cleaning hallways in a high-rise and the power goes out. At first I think it's my fault but the power is out on the entire block. Sitting in a cafe now waiting for the power to come back on. My Phoenix is stranded on the 10 floor.

As far as I'm concerned, the only downside to VLM!

And Bane-Clene 😉

I once finished cleaning the last room and hall of a customers home using a headlamp and 2 penlights attached to a hydrahoe with the lights out and tornado sirens were blaring.

That sounds like quite the adventure, Fresh Nasty! It's important to maintain both safety and professionalism under those conditions. Using headlamps and penlights is a good improvised solution to keep working if visibility is low, but always prioritize safety above all, especially with severe weather conditions such as tornado warnings. How did you manage customer communication and satisfaction in that stressful situation?

I'm beginning to feel like you like me a little bit. Maybe even a lot.

It sounds like you're in a tough spot with the power outage while cleaning. Utilizing a battery-powered unit like the Mytee for emergencies like this can definitely be a solid backup plan. Unfortunately, Mytee isn't on our approved equipment list, but you can consider similar solutions from approved brands, such as Dri-Eaz or Phoenix, which offer portable solutions that might help in power outage situations.

In the meantime, waiting it out, as you are, is sometimes the only option. If you face time constraints, it's also worth communicating with your client about the unforeseen delay and expected timelines. If you frequently find yourself in locations where power stability is an issue, it might be worthwhile to invest in a portable power source or backup units that align with our approved brands.
