1/4" quick connect tiny...oops it's for pressure washer

I'm tired of accidentally ordering quick connects that arrive tiny. It's only happened maybe 4 times over 15 years, but annoying. why are 1/4" pressure washer quick connects different size from 1/4" carpet cleaning quick connects?

The only thing i can think of is most pressure washer quick connects are straight thru flow and dont have integrated poppets which allows more flow, where as carpet cleaning quick connects have the poppet to stop flow when disconnected but the poppet also severely reduces flow thru the quick connect
